DJI are one of the few survivors left in the drone market. A Clear market leader.

They asked Horizon to create a category solution that would re-align the category in shoppers eyes, and reposition the products as flying cameras. Shoppers perception was damaged from the hundreds of low end flying drones that fell out of the sky, crashed in to obstacles and lacked any imaging quality. How could we differentiate this range of product from what came before and display a new range in a logical way, within retailer guidelines.

SOLUTION

We designed pos furniture that could power and alarm real, live product. Security solutions were specified that gave shoppers hands on interaction with the product on display, allowing them to appreciate the impressive build quality, camera / lense gimble and stability sensors. Once you engage with the actual product you soon realise the seismic difference in quality to those you may have seen before.

Alongside each drone, we displayed the relevant accessories in the same way – hand controllers, FPV goggles and smartphone controllers. Product comparison information allowed for quick and easy comparison and trade up from fun based product through to pro level. Segmentation descriptions also helped shoppers navigate through up to 4 metres of presentation, inter dispersed with hero lightbox images and high definition video screens which play actual footage taken from the flycams on display.
