CHALLENGE

The concept behind Osmo is unique. How do we communicate the features and benefits of the product concept to the shopper (e.g. parent) and consumer (young child) at the same time?

Various apps /games are available once the starter pack has been purchased – the eco system provides years of ‘Learning through play’ so the overall concept of edutainment needed to the overriding message, but ultimately the fixture design needed to look fun and exciting.

SOLUTION

We created an overall arching DNA and message hierarchy that was applied to three modular designs. The POS was targeted at a wide variety of retailers who would allocate differing levels of space, from 500mm to 1500mm linear. Three units were designed in a complimentary way, with the core unit displaying the starter kit alongside a dummy ipad with statistic printed screen message. Other units included a stock display and an interactive screen. The two tier communication was summarised on the interactive display where we had a button for kids and one for parents…each with entirely different focussed video content. The permanent units have found placement in hundreds of French and German stores, in most cases, for more than 1 year.
